Circle the City is a local nonprofit agency that provides healthcare for the homeless. We are currently seeking a Full Time, Driver who can work 50% driving and 50% administrative (patient registration, data entry and clerical work, etc.). If you are looking for a rewarding position, this is it! The Medical Van Driver position is responsible for the safe transport of patients to medical appointments, shopping, and outings.

Job Duties:

Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of patients.
Assists with patient registration in electronic medical record.
Transports patients according to schedule, staying within allotted times.
Assists patients in and out of the vehicle.
Interacts with patients in a warm, professional manner, maintaining positive relationships with patients.
Maintains a clean driving record.
Responsible for insuring that all required emergency equipment (i.e., triangles, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit) are available and in good working order.
Keep vehicle logs accurately and completely.
Insure that the vehicles gas, oil and other fluids are kept at appropriate levels.

Qualifications:

Good human relations skills and support of Circle the Cities mission. This position requires a High school diploma or GED. Must have a current Arizona’s driver’s licensed, be 21 years of age and has been licensed for at least 3 years. Must meet Circle the City insurer’s requirements for safe past driving record. CPR certification required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Sits for extended periods of time; stands, bends, stoops, reaches, climbs stairs to enter and exit vehicle, and walks intermittently
Must have good vision and hearing and the ability to read a map
